Ops for Less

We enjoyed a pleasant, laid-back ops session on the Eagle River Division this morning.  With only three operators in attendance, there was less train traffic to worry about and more time to visit with and assist the operators who were here.  A significant amount of work was still accomplished, with industries worked at Oak Hill, Beaver Cove, Anheuser-Busch, Ferritin City Steel, E. Ferritin Industrial Park, and South Park.  The Katy, TRRA, CNW, and MoPac railroads all saw activity.

I have to admit, I enjoyed this, and may consider hosting more sessions with smaller groups of just 3 or 4 operators.

Thanks to Dave Hockensmith, Jim Walker, and Ron Williams for being such great participants and making the session a laid-back success.
