New Year, New Layout

A brief update on what’s going on with the layout since the upper deck was removed in late 2024.

• Primary staging area completely redone with five 12-foot long stub-ended staging tracks.
• Wye installed for turning locomotives.
• Brewery and lumber yard relocated next to staging area.
• Lenz DCC replaced with TCS CS-105 Command Station & booster.
• Checkerboard Square area (Purina) track now connects directly with staging.
• JMRI-based CTC panel completely redone.
• Operational focus changed to Missouri Pacific St. Louis Terminal.
• Location names changed to Mopac switching zones.
• Some industry names changed to reflect Mopac-served customers.
• Relocation of dispatcher’s desk to closet area.
• Both A-D tracks for Ewing Ave. Yard extended an additional 360 scale feet.
• Remote control of Ewing Ave. Yard A-D track turnout installed.
